You are the youngest artist in the team that you lead. Some of them are elder and experienced than you by margin of many years. How do you get yourself heard?
We have a very cool work environment at Animation Saints. All the team members find themselves committed to their responsibilities by heart. Whenever a member gives reasoning for something telling why it should be done that ways, we all pay attention and ultimately choose the step that benefits the work. As we all aim for good work, we never experience any kind of politics within the studio. I am grateful to the team at Animation Saints as they trust on my vision and methods

What are your tools at work?
Ninety percent of my computer based work involves working on Toon Boom Studio. I have been using it since seven years now, and I believe it helps me providing an ideal interface for both animation and even illustrative jobs. Besides that, I love working on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Flash

Tell us about your favorite project from the past?
Though almost all projects I have been a part of, are close to my heart. But I still remember working on our debut project named ‘Fundoo Four and the Mansion of Measurements’ with Splash! Communications. We were just two people then, at Animation Saints; Manojit Ghose and I. Our clients Salil and Annie were both mentors as well as team members when we did that.

How did you learn all this? What made you choose this as your career?
Cartooning was my subject of interest since birth. However I come from such a small town from India where you can not expect anyone to even know the term ‘animation’. I can bet that there were not more than ten computers in my whole town when my family purchased one for me. Luckily, due to the support of my family, especially my dad, I received the go ahead to work as an artist in New Delhi. Since I haven’t taken any formal education in animation, most of my learning has come through internet resources, peeping from behind while senior artists worked and the animation books I kept purchasing as I earned bucks.

Interesting. Seems you find great support from your family.
Very true. My dad was the one who initiated this. My mom and sister always have their continued support. Plus I have an unmatchable support from my wife, without whom it would have been really difficult.

Where do you find yourself and Animation Saints today?
I still say it is just a start for both Animation Saints and I. We all wonder looking at magnificent work done by artists who are our inspiration. I get amazed thinking, if this is even possible in one lifetime? I salute such great talent of artists from studios like Pixar and Dreamworks. Thanks for being our inspiration and secret mentors.
